Puneeta Ranjan: Painting the Poetry of Connection
This feature profiles Puneeta's practice through the lens of connection — between people, cities, and the natural world — fifteen years after she left a finance career to paint full-time in Pune.
It focuses on We Are All Connected, a four-panel oil-on-canvas tetraptych (36 x 48 in each) built on fractal geometry and the Buddhist concept of Indra's Net, where every part of the pattern reflects back on the whole.
The work was shown as part of her 2024 solo exhibition The Poetry of Gaia, described as a meditation on nature and rhythm rather than a straightforward display of paintings.
The article also covers her public beautification projects and her workshops with children, framing her grid-based, 'regular irregularity' compositions as a visual metaphor for how she sees the world working.
